Gray Driver Analysis

The system defines drivers who had no business trips during the last 7-days period.
The total number of your fleet’s gray drivers is displayed as a gray “slice” in your Safety Level Distribution widget.
Clicking on that slice redirects you to the Safety tab, which provides you with a full list of the fleet’s gray drivers.

Gray driver Distribution Widget

This widget breaks down the grey mobile users to the specific reason, showing all the reasons why the fleet’s drivers have been categorized as gray.
By addressing these issues, managers can increase usage of the app, thereby improving the fleet’s safety and sustainability.

Note: the total number of gray drivers in this widget equals the number of drivers in the “gray slice” of the Safety Level Distribution widget.

Why is a driver classified as “gray”? There can be several reasons, some of which are technical:

  • The driver never accepted the app’s Terms Of Use

  • The driver didn’t record any business trips (Duty Mode wasn’t set to On Duty) during the last 7 days

  • The driver never logged into the Drive™ app

  • The driver had no trips of any type during the last 7 days

  • The driver didn’t set the Drive™ app’s Location Permission to “Always allow”. This permission is mandatory for the app to function properly.

  • The driver didn’t set the Drive™ app’s Activity Permission to “Always allow”. This permission is mandatory for the app to function properly.

  • The driver didn’t grant Bluetooth Permission to the app. This permission is mandatory for users of the Drive™ app who use the GreenRoad Beacon as their driver association solution.

Clicking on the widget takes you to the Analysis tab, where you can view a full list of gray drivers, along with the reason they were categorized as inactive. Managers can filter this table by team, driver, or category. The data can also be exported to Excel .
