GreenRoad Drive™ - Status Mode
The GreenRoad DRIVE™ App offers 4 different Duty Status modes:
On Duty or Business -
This is the status to choose when you are driving a vehicle on company time.
During On Duty trips, the app provides you with real-time coaching, records your driving performance, and reflects your driving in your Safety Score.
Note: the app can be set to switch automatically to On Duty mode according to a schedule. To learn how, click on this link.
Personal -
This is the status to choose when you are driving a vehicle on your own time. During Personal trips, the app provides you with real-time feedback, but does not record your driving performance or change your Safety Score.
Passenger -
This is the status to choose when you are on a trip but not driving the car. It does not provide you with real-time feed back and your Safety Score is not affected by the behavior of the driver.
Off -
This is the status to choose when you want total privacy. In Off Mode, no one anywhere can track where you or your vehicle are located, or how you’re driving.

When should you set Duty Mode to “Passenger”?
When you are inside a vehicle but not driving. This will make sure that your Safety Score is not affected by another driver’s behavior – and eliminates the distractions of the system's audio feedback.
Note: If you forget to change the Duty Status back from Passenger to On Duty for the next trip, the trip will not be lost and can still be managed.
Retroactive changes to Duty Status can be implemented in 2 ways:
-
In GreenRoad Drive™, go to the Trip History tab, and click on the clipboard icon on the screen’s top right-hand corner to move to Trip Management. Click on the relevant trip, and switch it from On Duty to Passenger mode.
Note: these are the only 2 modes you can switch between
-
In GreenRoad Central™, under the Trips tab, select the relevant trip and change its mode.
